School of setting out is the construction school of Finchley college. We offer weekend and weekday part time courses in construction engineering and management with city & Guilds qualifications at levels 3 and 4.
You do not need to be a graduate to work as an engineer or a manger. We offer you an excellent training specially designed to produce high quality engineer and managers.
Our aim is to train highly competent and sought after engineers, able to work on their own with no supervision, use a variety of Total stations and leveling equipment, read and understand construction drawings and set out construction elements on sites as well as receive City and Guilds unit certificates.
For those already working as a site manager or contracts manager without qualifications or those intending to embark on such roles in the construction industry we offer an Advanced professional certificate at level 3 and Higher Professional diploma at level 4. The courses require completion of 6 to 12 units within 6 months to a year. For more information please see courses page.
